Story
In 2018 I gave birth to my Daughter Daisy :)
I had a very normal pregnancy & birth but after a few months I started to feel what I thought was normal postpartum depression, so I made an appointment to see a doctor, I was prescribed some antidepressants straight away, so immediately took one, from that time to 5 months later I have very little memory of being admitted to a mother & baby unit then on to a priory hospital, during this time daisy went into the care of my sister while I had electric shock treatment as my brain had shut down, thankfully the treatment boosted my brain back into action. After 6 months I was transferred to a newly built mbu in dartford ( nearer to home then before ) this is where I made the most recovery and was able to care for daisy with the help of staff there. I was discharged from hospital the day before Daisy’s first birthday because they can only take mothers and babies up until a year old.
Since being home in 2019 it has been a very long road to recovery but I have made loads of progress and finally enjoying my life again :) so this year marked 5 years of being discharged, so i decided to walk to stone hospital and back which is that distance my family travelled to visit me.
