Story

This February, I’ll be taking part in the Walk 60 Miles in 28 days Challenge for the Lily Mae Foundation. Walking has become a vital part of my healing, and this challenge is about remembrance, reflection, and taking things one step at a time.

I’ll be walking in memory of our beautiful angel baby, Gracie-Mae, and all babies taken too soon, whilst also celebrating what would have been Lily Mae’s 16th birthday. Each mile represents how far we’ve come — a symbolic journey through grief, love, and hope.

Losing Gracie turned our world upside down. In our darkest moments, Amy and Ryan of the Lily Mae Foundation stood beside us through unimaginable heartache, offering compassion and ongoing counselling when we needed it most. I truly don’t know where we would be without them. By taking on this challenge, I hope to give back by helping raise vital funds to support other parents facing the devastating loss of a baby.

As well as offering one-to-one bereavement counselling, the Lily Mae Foundation gifted us a memory box in hospital — a treasured piece of Gracie-Mae that will stay with us forever. It remains one of our most precious possessions. The funds raised will help provide these memory boxes to other bereaved families, while continuing the Foundation’s incredible work of support, awareness, and care.

Please help support me in this challenge if you can. All proceeds go to The Lily Mae Foundation, and any amount, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
