Story

Introducing Lisa, Shirley and Ash - they're all warriors in their own rights, with good hearts.

Not only do they work for Bradford based Charity *The Bridge Project* but they also want to raise money to further the work they and their colleagues do.

This fundraiser is all about our young persons drug and alcohol support service known as One80 which is working hard to bridge connections with all communities so they feel listened to and supported.

We help over 100 young people a year, many live in care homes, and or find it hard to manage emotions and stay in school, education and training. With your support we could help more young people risk of harm from substances and in crisis.

Support from a substance misuse worker can be transformative, helping young people build a foundation for a healthier and more fulfilling future.

Ash [Young Persons service]

"I support loads of young people struggling with drug and alcohol misuse. We also work along side schools and families to keep young people safe and in education. It would be great to have our new One80 leaflets translated into other languages to support communities whose first language isn't English"

Shirley [Housing First team]

"I've worked with the Bridge Project for years - we aren't bound by a certain number of appointments - we respond to what people need and have really helped people turn their lives around"

Lisa [Supported Housing]

"When you're having a really bad time, being isolated or unsupported makes it feel so much worse. I know what amazing work One80 do. I'd love it if YP were supported to get into sports, particularly if you've got ADHD/ADD. Physical activity can really help mental health. Maybe after getting support from the team some YP will even join us next year?
