In May 2026, I’ll be embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime trek along the Great Wall of China to raise vital funds for St John Ambulance Cymru, the first aid charity for Wales.

This 12-day trek will take me on steep ascents and descents as the wall follows the mountain contours. Along the way, I will experience scenic views over the hilly Chinese countryside, including a mixture of rocky ridges, terraced farmland, dense forests and open rolling hills.

Highlights include the dramatic Heaven’s Ladder, a visit to the East Qing Tombs, and an exploration of Beijing, including the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square!
