Story
4Louis works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, and the death of a baby or child. We understand the pain and heartbreak that families go through and are dedicated to providing support and comfort during this difficult time.
We provide memory boxes filled with keepsakes and mementoes to help families create lasting memories of their loved one. We also provide useful tools, equipment, and training free of charge to hospital units, hospices, and other professionals who work with grieving families.
We are a Year 2 Sheffield Hallam univeristy midwifery cohort raising money for 4Louis, a charity that supports families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss.
As student midwives, we are beginning to truly understand the importance of compassionate, sensitive care during some of the most heartbreaking moments families can face. 4Louis provides memory boxes, keepsakes and essential resources to hospitals and bereavement teams across the UK, giving parents precious memories during an unimaginable time.
Recently, our cohort held a Pyjama Day to raise awareness and funds for this incredible charity. Wearing our pyjamas symbolised comfort, something every family deserves, especially in times of loss. Thanks to the generosity of those around us, we’ve already made a start… but we don’t want to stop there.
We are continuing our fundraising efforts to help 4Louis:
Provide memory boxes for bereaved families
Fund cooling cots that allow parents more time with their babies
Supply hospitals with vital bereavement resources
Support healthcare professionals in delivering compassionate care
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards helping families create precious memories they will treasure forever.
As future midwives, supporting charities like 4Louis is deeply personal to us. We see first hand how much these resources matter, and we are proud to play a small part in making a difference.
Thank you so much for your support 💛
