London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

Prior to the pandemic A World With friends held 3 proms a year across the UK. The Proms are magical nights for young people who were too unwell to go to their own school prom. Now the Proms are back! and we need to raise the money to hold all 3 again

Story

Hi Everyone,

I am running the London Marathon 2024 for this amazing charity founded by Lewis Hine an inspirational human!

I love running but haven't run for a charity for quite a few years and after reading Lewis's incredible book, ' Looking at the Stars', I just HAD to do something to support the cause.

Please donate whatever you can however big or small anything will be very much appreciated.

More about the charity...

After 13 Brain Surgeries for a Tumor, Hydrocephalus and Epilepsy Lewis Hine found himself isolated by their health condition. Lewis realised the problem was far bigger than his local community group so he founded a charity and re branded it A WORLD WITH FRIENDS.

In 2017 Lewis sat in Great Ormond St Hospital in London watching social media clips of people at his school getting ready for prom. Lewis decided that it was time everyone like him who missed out on their prom due to illness or disability should have a prom too. Since then the charity has been putting on Proms across the UK. Unfortunately the pandemic put a stop to the proms but now they are back!!!!

We get requests from young people all over the country so please donate what ever you can so we can make their dreams come true and give them the prom night they always dreamed of.
