A small group of us including husband Neil Phipps and sister Anna Wilby- Lopez as well friends will be taking on the huge challenge of swimming across the very busy Solent. Starting from the GAFIRS lifeboat in Gosport we will swim as a group over to Ryde beach on the Isle of Wight . This could be 3-3.5 miles (5-6.5km)depending on the tides.

Conquering many challenges and fears on the way. At least 4 ferries passing through the same crossing , shipping containers and other vessels which will endeavour to create some fun waves and bumping waters for us! And maybe some jellyfish 🪼😱.

We want to raise as much cash as possible to help out the amazing GAFIRS. This is a charity that remains afloat thanks to generous public donations and legacies.

Like many lifeboat services around the UK, they are independent of the RNLI and receive no funding from them.

I will be holding a number of exercise based fundraising evenings in my studio so please keep an eye out for these.
