As many of you may know my Mum, June Parkhouse is living with the challenges of dementia. It’s an awful disease that affects so much of a persons life and those that care for them. Doing just a small bit, such as taking part in this challenge, is one of the things I can do to help fund what I hope will lead to a greater comfort for those living with a disease that causes so much pain and distress to so many.

Walking is something I enjoy and the idea of doing it with my lovely 10 month old pup, Dexter, is an added bonus - even better that Mum has always been an avid lover of dogs (and cats but let’s not talk about them 😀) and I am sure she would approve very much of my walking companion for the challenge!
