Back in November, I found a funky lump in my breast. And unlike the ~80% of funky lumps that wind up being benign, I became just one of the 55,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer ever year. Stage IIA, Grade 3, HER2+, in my case.
I'm halfway through sixteen rounds of chemotherapy, with surgery and some adjuvant therapy to follow. And it's been tough, but I'm tougher!
A few days after I was diagnosed, I saw an advert for Breast Cancer Now on my feed. I joined their next in-person Younger Women Together event a week or two later, where met some incredible people (who are now great friends), learned of fantastic resources, and came away with the resilience I needed to face my diagnosis and start treatment.
I want to give back to the charity that has already given me so much. Any amount you can spare will be hugely impactful, and spur me on to get my steps in and combat all my chemo fatigue!
