Story
Ten years ago, our world changed forever.
Our dad wasn’t just our father — he was the heartbeat of our family. The loudest laugh in the room. The one who stayed late to help. The one who showed up every single time. He was the friend who’d buy the first round, the shoulder people leaned on, the steady presence that made everything feel okay.
When he passed away suddenly from a heart attack, it left a space that has never really closed. Milestones feel different without him. Big moments carry a quiet “he should be here.” And yet, in so many ways, he still is — in our humour, in our stubbornness, in the way we look after each other.
So this year, ten years on, we’re doing something a little different to honour him.
We’re taking on a 10K pub crawl — something he absolutely would have laughed at, probably led from the front of. It’s not just about the pubs or the miles; it’s about bringing people together the way he always did. It’s about walking, talking, laughing, and remembering. It’s about turning something painful into something powerful.
Most importantly, we’re raising money for the British Heart Foundation — a cause that means everything to us. Heart disease is still one of the UK’s biggest killers. Research, prevention, and awareness save lives. If someone else’s dad can be spared, if another family doesn’t have to feel that sudden loss, then every step will be worth it.
Dad was loved by everyone who knew him. His friends still talk about him. His family still miss him deeply. And we carry him with us every day.
If you’re able to sponsor us — whether it’s the cost of a pint or a little more — you’re not just donating. You’re helping fund life-saving research. You’re honouring a man who meant the world to so many. You’re helping us turn grief into something that gives back.
Thank you for supporting us.
Thank you for remembering him with us.
And thank you for helping us make a difference. ❤️
