Hi I’m Esme, I’m 11 years old, and I’m a former NICU baby! Since the age of 5 I’ve been fundraising to give back to the unit that saved my life.

Over the past five years I’ve raised around £5,000 which has helped towards the parents room refurbishments and is currently helping to update the courtyard area on the NICU.

This year will be Friends Of The Baby Units 50th year, 50 years since Kate Repton founded the charity. Kate is a huge inspiration to me, and I am so proud to be able to support this incredible charity.

Since it’s the 50th year I’ve decided to run 50 miles a month, every month for a year, a total of 600 miles. It’s a huge challenge, my biggest one yet, but I’m ready…

All money raised over the next 12 months will go to support the bereavement side of NICU- I will update as I go.
