Lisa's fundraiser for Secondary First

Lisa Wall is raising money for Secondary First
In memory of Barbara Taylor

Fred Whitton Challenge · 11 May 2025

We put Secondary Breast Cancer first. Because there is no cure yet. This disease spreads to the rest of the body and affects women and men. So finding a cure means a diagnosis is no longer an ultimatum. People will have more days doing what matters most, living the life they love.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am fundraising in memory of my nan who passed away 18 months ago.

I wanted a big challenge for my 40th year!

The challenge spans 112 miles of breathtaking yet punishing terrain in the heart of the Lake District, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Riders will take on iconic climbs like Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose, and Blea Tarn passes.

For the elite, the course can be completed in just under six hours, but for most, it’s an all-day epic, with finishing times often exceeding eleven hours. With gradients as steep as 30% at the 98-mile mark, this is widely regarded as the most challenging one-day ride in the UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
