I will be taking on a Half Marathon in Cardiff on the 6th of October 2024 to fund Adventure Therapy sessions for young people who are under the Early Intervention in Psychosis team in Powys.

The Early Intervention in Psychosis service supports young people and adults who are experiencing psychosis related difficulties for the first time.

Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services across Wales engages with a national adventure therapy programme, which encourages people experiencing psychosis to participate in experience-based initiatives to improve their wellbeing and recovery.

This has recently seen groups of people recovering from psychosis scale Pen y Fan, take on stand up paddleboarding and getting out into the woods. They’ve fed back that undertaking the challenge alongside people they can relate to has helped to rebuild their confidence, enjoy socialising, and take steps towards recovery.

Any money that you can spare will be used to help individuals experiencing a mental health crisis for the first time, to take part in activities that we hope will have a positive impact on their well-being.

Any donations will be spent by the staff directly on people who will appreciate and benefit greatly from your investment.
