Story
On the 8th of October, Nick Grant and I will be running the Lisbon Marathon along with some other great lads like Harry Vincent, Ollie Ross and Seb Thomas. This has come up scarily quickly and will be a very tough challenge and so it seems right to use this as an opportunity to raise as much money as possible for a great cause. So, in memory of Spencer Lewallen, brother of our very good friend Will Lewallen, we want to raise money for Inquest - an incredible charity that works with bereaved families who have lost loved ones through the actions or failures of the state. It is the only charity that specialises in state related deaths, in their own words, working with these families ensuring their voices are heard and holding the state to account for individual deaths, and also through changing policy and practice to prevent future deaths. As well as the personal significance of Inquest working closely with the Lewallens’, they have also worked on notable recent cases such as the Grenfell Tower Fire and the shooting of Chris Kaba. Of course times are tough for everybody now with the cost of living crisis, but any amount anyone can give no matter how big or small will be massively appreciated and will go to this amazing cause, thank you all very much.
I have attached a link to the Inquest website for anyone who wants to read more about the invaluable work they do: https://www.inquest.org.uk
