Story
Ben Saunders was a good friend and teammate when we played football together for Bath City as teenagers.
My first ‘long run’ was a half marathon in his memory, but I have since been wanting to embark on a bigger challenge that better reflects Ben’s courage and determination. I wanted to complete something even he would’ve been impressed by.
After a little brainstorming, I landed on a multi day ultramarathon between Anfield, Ashton Gate and Twerton Park - three stadiums important to Ben.
I am planning this challenge in his memory and to help support the amazing work of the Ben Saunders foundation (BSF).
The BSF was created by Ben in August 2020 just as he was battling cancer.
Whilst Ben was ill a charity paid for him and his friends to holiday in Centre parcs and this had a huge impact on Ben.
One of Ben's final wishes was to start a foundation so that he would never be forgotten. Ben's dream was for us to create a Charity and raise enough money to purchase a holiday home for teenagers and Young Adults with cancer to spend time with their loved ones.
Seeing a child or young adult suffering with cancer is horrific, please support by giving what you can.
