Mission Direct has worked in Lusaka for many years, previously building a safe house for street girls which now accommodates 40+ children. For many years, we have also supported schools here – many of which are found in the compounds in and around the city which receive little or no funding and struggle to provide facilities for full-time education for every child.

Our building projects will focus on our Partner Community Schools, helping to improve health and sanitation and teaching facilities, by building toilet blocks and classrooms.

We also partner with organisations which help children living on the streets, encouraging them to return home or go to a suitable safe facility. Children can be helped into school and placed on rehabilitation programmes to help break substance addictions.
