I have a ‘BIG’ birthday in February and would like to raise money to enable young people with Special Educational Needs, who have experienced the death of a parent or care giver, to have the specialist counselling they need. Working with young people with SEN, I know how much of a struggle understanding and processing emotions can be. In the event of such tragedy there is undoubtedly confusion, anxiety, anger and distress mixed with the need to protect the feelings of the parent, or other family members, struggling in grief and of course, an overwhelming sense of loss and loyalty to the parent/care giver who has died.

Grief is a very personal journey and as a result, it is hugely important to have access to the right support at the right time.

It would mean so much to me to help 2 (or more) young people with SEN in the most devastating and life changing of times.
