Securing a home for the 7th Hanwell Scout group for the next 50+ years! We are rebuilding 'The Warren' to make it fit for the 21st century and a space that our young people and the wider community can be proud of.

Story

On July 20th, 11 year old Hector is setting off on a cycling and camping adventure with his Uncle - all the way to Paris. They'll travel self supported, carrying everything they need in their panniers.

This trip has been over a year in the planning. Hector has been slowly gathering all his gear piece by piece, from Christmas presents to birthday gifts (he recently turned 11) all in preparation for their epic week-long challenge. They'll catch the ferry from Newhaven, start cycling from Dieppe, and aim to arrive in Paris by Saturday 26th July.

But this trip isn't just about adventure - it's also about making a difference.

Hector is using this opportunity to raise money for an important cause, the rebuild of the Scout Hut, 'The Warren'. Originally built over 50 years ago in 1972, it has now fallen into a dilapidated state and urgently needs rebuilding, so it can continue to serve young people and the community for generations to come.

7th Hanwell need to raise up to £390,000 in order to transform 'The Warren' into a safe, modern and welcoming place.

Please support us to create an environment where our young people and wider community can continue to thrive!

Please sponsor Hector and help 7th Hanwell Scouts build a new home for them and the community. Every donation brings us one step closer to a new Warrren for the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explores, and helps Hector pedal 1 mile closer to Paris! Thank you.
