Story
I very rarely ask people to donate to a cause but, together with my fellow Blister Susters - Julie, Tess, Lorrayne and Richard - we are going to walk nearly 70 miles across Devon in mid June in aid of The Devon Clinic .
Coming from a Psychology background I am well aware of the devastation that mental illness can cause to individuals and families. Sadly, given the world we live in, people are finding it harder to cope and depression, anxiety and stress related disorders are on the increase. Traumatic life events can knock someone’s mental health off kilter. The genetic makeup we are born with can also make us more prone to mental health issues and disorders.
The ideal is to provide anyone who is suffering the support they need which is why places such as The Devon Clinic are so important.
Please give generously. Believe me, training to walk 70 miles in one day is no easy task. Even the dog agrees!
