This August, I'm putting my letter writing skills to use for good.

I've created 31 letter writing prompts for 'A Note a Day August', and I'll be writing one handwritten letter every day throughout the month in support of From Me to You. By the end of August, I'll have donated 31 letters through the charity's Donate a Letter programme.

I'm asking you to sponsor my challenge with a donation to help From Me to You continue matching handwritten letters with people experiencing cancer. In 2025 alone, the charity matched more than 17,000 letters, and the demand continues to grow.

Throughout August I'll also be sharing my progress on social media. If you're inspired, I'd love for you to write a letter of your own too. Whether it's one letter or all 31, every handwritten note has the power to brighten someone's day.

From Me to You encourages people to write letters to friends -- and strangers -- suffering with cancer - keeping them connected at a time when they feel most disconnected.

They run the Donate A Letter campaign, sending anonymous letters to cancer patients in hospitals across the UK. Social isolation is often felt by cancer patients and something as simple as a letter can alleviate this.
