Story
On 24th May, I’ll be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in support of It’s Good 2 Give, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.
When I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 14, I saw first-hand the life-changing difference this charity makes to young people and their families. Their incredible support helped make one of the most difficult times in our lives feel a little less overwhelming, and I will always be grateful for that.
It’s Good 2 Give is committed to supporting young cancer patients and their families across Scotland. They understand the immense physical and emotional challenges faced during and after cancer treatment, which is why they provide both practical and mental health support — from essential patient packs to offering a peaceful escape at the beautiful Ripple Retreat.
The charity’s amazing founder, Lynne, is currently on a mission to raise £500,000 before her 70th birthday at the end of the year, and I would love to play a small part in helping her achieve this incredible goal.
By raising money through this run, I hope to give back to a charity that once supported me, and help ensure they can continue delivering this vital support to other young patients and families when they need it most.
Thank you so much for any support — it means the world 💛
