We fight for a world without iron overload to prevent serious illness and save lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the night of the 1st July 2023, we will be crazily be taking part in the Dunwich Dynamo, cycling 112 miles from Hackney, London to Dunwich, Suffolk.

Last year, Chris and Graeme took on this challenge with their friend Ian and had an amazing night. They planned to do it again this year.

But those plans all changed when Ian became ill in January and suddenly and unexpectedly died.

The boys decided that they would still do the ride and when they asked Ian's wife, Liza, to join them, she couldn't resist. She started out using an old bike of Ian's and with support from Chris and Graeme, she now has all the gear, a bit of an idea and few miles under her belt.

Ian had a condition called Haemochromatosis, which means that he had too much iron in his blood. He had been receiving treatment for this for a couple of years and was doing well. Although the condition did not cause Ian's death, it may have been a contributing factor. Therefore, Liza, Chris and Graeme would like to raise as much money as they can in memory of Liza's beloved husband and Chris and Graeme's dear friend.

So if you feel that you're able to support us and raise some money for this cause that is so important, we'd really appreciate it.
