Chase The Sun South 2024 · 22 June 2024 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Chase the Sun is a yearly event on the longest Saturday of the year, where cyclists attempt to ride 205 miles coast-to-coast, starting at sunrise and (ideally) finishing before sunset.

On the 22nd of June, Liz and I will be attempting this cycle to raise money for Parkinson's UK, combating a disease which affects both of our families. We'll be kicking off at 4:41am in the Thames estuary, cycling through London, continuing west through the hills of the Mendips and hoping to reach the bright lights of Weston-Super-Mare before 9:33pm for some chips on the beach. Overall the ride will see us climbing 3000m during the 205-mile ride for good measure.

Any and all donations would be hugely appreciated to keep us pedalling.

Thank you!
