The friends of Liz Hughes are raising funds for the Bronglais Chemotherapy Unit to celebrate the life of our much-missed Liz Hughes.

Throughout the summer we are organising a series of events - horse riding and running - two of the things Liz loved most, and was amazing at.

On Sunday the 7th of June we will be organising a memorial ride around the beautiful Rheidol Valley, where Liz loved to ride her horse Betsi with her friends from Rheidol. We will have three well-marked routes of varying lengths around the Valley so riders of all ability will be able to join us.

Our midweek races Ras yr Hafod and Ras Hwyrnos Nant yr Arian on May the 6th and 20th will also contribute to the cause. Featuring senior races of 5-6 miles and children’s races of 1-2 miles with incredible views - and some tough climbs (which Liz would have taken in her stride).

This cause is close to Liz's heart and she even did some fundraising herself, walking the whole Wye Valley way to support cancer charities.
