Story
Like many people cancer has affected my life, when I was growing up my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer which rocked my world, thankfully through the incredible treatment and care she received she is all clear, I thank my blessings everyday that I have her by my side!
My Mother in Law Judith, is currently undergoing treatment for this horrible disease so running for Breast Cancer Now (BCN) means so much and I’m truly honoured.
I started running last October when I decided I needed to get away from my laptop more. For anyone that knows me knows that I’m not (well wasn’t) a runner. The following march I completed my first half marathon, then a sprint Triathlon, another half and booked 2 more to complete. With my 30th approaching the following year (2025) I thought there was no better time to run London marathon.
Having met some of the others who are also running with BCN, some who are currently going through treatment, I’m truly inspired by their incredible zest and drive.
I hope to raise as much money as I can so we can live in a world where cancer stops impacting and taking lives.
I’ll be running for all those effected by this awful illness, especially for my mum and mother in law, who are so special (together in my display picture)!
Microsoft will match every pound raised so let’s raise as much as possible!!
Thank you for all your support, I’m so very grateful.
Hugs and love xx
*Delighted to share that Judith has completed treatment and is doing fantastically, getting herself back to tennis and lots of pottery*
