I’m taking part in Bromley Mencap’s 75th anniversary walking challenge. Bromley Mencap has supported disabled people and their families for 75 years, helping them live more independent, connected and fulfilling lives.

Family Futures, provides early, preventative support to families with disabled children - helping them access advice, build confidence, and connect with others before challenges reach crisis point.

Sarah, mum of James, shared that before accessing support she felt overwhelmed and isolated after her child’s diagnosis. Through Family Futures, they received practical guidance, emotional support, and introductions to other families in similar situations. This early help meant they were able to navigate school support more confidently and feel less alone day to day.
