The CJD Support Network offers advice, information and support for patients, carers and professionals involved in any form of suspected or confirmed CJD. We offer emotional and practical support; disseminate new information as research develops and offer advice for those who may be deemed at risk.

Story

Our family recently lost a wonderful wife, mother, Dee, sister, daughter, auntie and friend in Darlene, to the extremely rare and little known disease called Sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease (sCJD). It’s an extremely rapid neurological brain disease, which is always fatal; there is no treatment nor cure. It can happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME.

So, we are starting to raise funds for a charity called CJD Support who help families come to terms with this cruel, horrible disease, and raise general awareness and education of what it is, and how this disease starts.

Rhys will be running the OGI 10k in Porthcawl on Sunday 7th July to raise money for the CJD Support group. If you can please donate to the page.

Ian, Darlene’s husband willI also be hosting a quiz on the same day quiz in the New House pub on Sunday 7th July, 4pm start. So if you prefer a good old fashioned pub quiz and raising money in person come along! It only costs £1 per person entry, max of 6 people in a team.
