Story
Rave for Equality, part of the Women Unite events brand, is doing some fantastic work. Showcasing only female DJ talent across the South of England is a powerful statement in itself. But the fact that they're also raising donations for Papyrus Prevention Against Young Suicide makes it even more impactful.
The first installment of this initiative is happening at the Pride event at Canvas Bournemouth on the 4th of July, 2025. This event is not just a celebration of music and diversity, but also a platform to raise awareness and funds for a very important cause.
Women Unite's commitment to fundraising for such a significant issue is commendable. It's a great example of how events can be more than just entertainment, they can also be a force for positive change.
So, if you're in the area, make sure to mark your calendar and show your support. Not only will you get to enjoy some amazing music, but you'll also be contributing to a very worthy cause.
PAPYRUS is the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people take their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
Every £15 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you.
