Christian Aid Week 2025 highlights our work in Guatemala.

Story

The children at Llandaff City C/I/W Primary school have a heart and passion for fundraising and as Christian children, a special bond with our friends at Christian Aid. We ask our pupils ‘to be like Jesus’ and by supporting the work of Christian Aid, each child has an opportunity to learn and support the vital work of the charity.

Christian Aid Week 2025 highlights the work in Guatemala, where the climate crisis is causing severe droughts and floods, leading to failed harvests.

Indigenous communities like Amelia’s, who have contributed least to the crisis, are suffering the most. With support from the partner Congcoop, funded by Christian Aid, Amelia is learning sustainable farming practices to combat extreme weather and protect her family.

Together, Christian Aid can support people like Amelia to help protect their families and communities from hunger and poverty.

Please donate, your gifts can fund vital agricultural training and tools that unlock climate resilient farming methods.
