Story
in January I’ll be taking part in the winter spine race, which is 268 miles moving north along the Pennine Way, by far my biggest challenge to date!! Although I know it’s going to be super tough and challenging and push me to my limits, I’m very much aware that this kind of suffering is optional, and also a huge privilege. I don’t normally fundraise as these events are very much a selfish pursuit for me, but this one feels different. And if in doing so it helps raise some money for an amazing charity then that can only be a good thing! I’m aware that money is tight for most at this time of year but if anyone has a couple of pounds to share I can tell you that this is a charity that helps those that need them a huge amount. Thank you x
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
