Story
Hi, I’m Nina, and I work at the Maidstone branch of Lloyds Bank and Halifax. I’m raising funds for Lupus UK, a charity close to my heart because I live with lupus myself.
October is Lupus Awareness Month in the UK, which aims to raise awareness of lupus amongst the public and medical profession, and improve understanding of the impact that this autoimmune condition can have on the lives of those living with it.
From October 20th to 25th our group across multiple branches will be coming together to raise as much as we can for Lupus UK. To further support our efforts, Lloyds Bank has generously agreed to match donations up to £500.
At the Maidstone branches, we’re planning to dress in purple, hold raffles, run a tombola, host a competition to guess our branch mascot name, and spread awareness with leaflets, badges, posters, and more. I would love to see everyone get involved in their own branches too! Please share photos of your displays or team activities with me, and I'll compile them to be featured in Lupus UK's monthly magazine.
A small donation can go a long way in helping us to support people with lupus. You can find a range of activities to take part in on the Lupus UK website at www.lupusuk.org.uk/lupus-awareness-month.
Thank you for your support!
