Every day, in our own community, women and children leave homes that were supposed to be safe. They walk out with almost nothing — and they arrive somewhere that helps them start over.
That somewhere is Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support.
For more than 40 years, Genesis has provided safety, shelter, and support to women and children escaping domestic violence in the Dallas–Fort Worth area — at no cost to the families who come through their doors. Every year, thousands of women and children find refuge, counseling, and a way forward because of Genesis. But that work only continues when the community shows up.
We’re a team of students in the Professional Selling Program at the University of North Texas, and this fall, we’re showing up. We’ve partnered with Schneider to park a trailer on our campus for a one-day donation drive on Saturday, October 17 — one we’re calling Loads of Love — collecting the everyday essentials Genesis families need most, from toiletries to bedding to clothing.
But not everyone can drop off supplies in person, and that’s why this page exists. Every dollar you give here goes to support Genesis Women’s Shelter and the women and children they serve. Your gift becomes a warm bed, a fresh start, a safe night’s sleep — proof to someone at the hardest moment of her life that a stranger cared enough to help.
We took this on because we believe no one should have to choose between safety and starting over with nothing. Will you help us fill the truck — and fill the gap — for the families Genesis protects?
