In August 2027, 49 young people from at 1st New Waltham Scouts and 5th Scartho Grimsby, will be taking part in the adventure of a lifetime at Lochgoilhead Scout Adventure Centre in Scotland.

For many of our young people, this will be their first experience of travelling so far from home, taking part in large-scale outdoor adventures, and building independence away from family. During the week they will challenge themselves through activities designed to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership and lifelong memories.

As a group, we strongly believe that every young person should have access to adventure, regardless of financial circumstances. While families are contributing towards the trip costs, we are working hard to fundraise to help reduce the overall cost and make the experience as accessible as possible for everyone attending.

Our young people are also being encouraged to play an active role in fundraising themselves, helping organise events, support activities and give back to the community that supports them.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help give local young people the opportunity to experience new adventures, learn vital life skills and create memories that will stay with them forever.
