Fundraiser for The HALO Trust

Aran Taheri Murphy is raising money for The HALO Trust

Lofoten Long Crossing · 28 August 2026

Our humanitarian work, clearing landmines and other debris of war, creates safe & secure environments in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. We save lives and lift local families out of poverty by creating jobs for deminers and we prepare the way for development and long term stability.

Story

In August, the 4 of us – Mark, Tom, Adam and Aran – will be taking on the Lofoten Long Crossing in Norway, hiking over 100 miles across some of the most rugged and breathtaking landscapes in the Arctic.

We're taking on this expedition to raise money for The HALO Trust, the world's largest humanitarian landmine clearance charity. HALO works in countries around the world, including Angola, clearing deadly landmines, making land safe, and allowing families to return to their homes, children to walk safely to school, and communities to rebuild their lives.

Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support HALO's life-saving work and help create a safer future for thousands of people. We will be attempting to raise £0.01 for every step we complete on the hike which is estimated to be over 225,000!!!

Thank you so much for your support—it truly means the world to us. Please consider donating and sharing our page to help us make the greatest impact possible.
