I’m going to be fundraising for Mind.
Mind is a UK mental health charity that provides support, advice, and services for people experiencing mental health problems. They run helplines, local support groups, crisis services, and work really hard to campaign for better mental health support across the country.
Men’s mental health in particular is something that’s really close to my heart. Someone very close to me lives with depression, and I’ve seen how hard that can be - how invisible it can look, and how difficult it can be to open up.
Too many men feel like they have to just ‘get on with it.’ Too many struggle in silence.
Mind helps people feel less alone. They provide practical support, information, and a safe place to turn when things feel overwhelming.
Training for 26.2 miles is going to be tough - but it’s nothing compared to battling depression.
