On 18th October 2025, me, Chris, Liam and Albie will be doing the 5k starlight hike around Otley in memory of my mum, Theresa.

It is a date, place and cause close to our hearts.

18th October is my sister, Shona’s birthday. Instead of hiking with us hopefully she will be relaxing at home, waiting for baby number 2’s arrival next month.

Otley is a place my mum spent much of her nursing career at the hospital and also used to take us to the playground there loads as children!

Sue Ryder supported my mum and our family for only a short time back in July 2023 but their care left a lasting impression on us and it’s an honour to raise funds for them through this hike.
