My chosen charity is Mind who are working to make sure everyone in Wales has access to the mental health information, support and services they need.

In 2019 my dad took his own life at age 60 after years of struggling with his mental health.

Dad loved challenges and pushing himself to achieve his goals. And was a huge support to many.

In October 2024 I will be running Cardiff Half Marathon.

Since losing dad I have struggled and tried many ways to find peace. I’ve never been a runner but after being encouraged by a friend to take part in couch to 5k at the end of last year I have found a love of running and a place where at least for a time I have peace.

I hope by raising money it will help Mind to continue developing their support services, specifically for families who have lost a loved one to suicide.
