Laugh Out Loud Theatre Company, or LOL Theatre as we are affectionately known, is a non-profit community theatre company based in Northamptonshire, run by Emma Kendrick and Natalie Částka. Our aim is to bring theatre back into our local communities and make it accessible and affordable for everyone.

We have been very lucky to have been awarded several grants to allow us to produce fantastic professional productions across Northamptonshire and now we feel it's time to give something back. We are going to attempt to complete the Kettering Parkrun (5k community event) at Wicksteed Park on Saturday 6th April 2024. Not only that, we are doing it in pantomime costume (oh, yes, we are!)

We are not runners, and we are not sure if the panto costumes will be a help or a hinderance, but what we are sure about is the wonderful charity we are fundraising for.

We are taking on this challenge to fundraise for Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s General Fund, which supports their own charitable activities so that they can keep giving out urgent grant awards to the small, local charities and community groups working with the most vulnerable residents across Northamptonshire and providing a safety net of support. This could be health and wellbeing initiatives, food aid projects, family support, youth services, job clubs, environmental projects, counselling services, supporting community centres and village halls to name just a few!

Last year Northamptonshire Community Foundation awarded over £2.5 million in grants to hundreds of charities and community groups across Northants, including LOL Theatre. They give out funds to projects that will make a difference to the most vulnerable in our society and shine a light on vital issues affecting our county and work with others to tackle them.

The last few years have been incredibly hard for many, and we know that vital funds are needed now more than ever.

Your donation will help Northamptonshire Community Foundation continue to support the incredible, ongoing work of small, local charities and community groups across Northamptonshire who are dedicated to doing good on our doorstep and changing lives for the better.
