Lomond Mountain Rescue Team provides search and rescue services across an area of over 1000 square miles in the mountains, lochs and forests in Central Scotland. 32 voluntary team members are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The Team depends on fundraising to maintain this service.

Story

I am thrilled to be attempting a climb of Ama Dablam (6812m) in Nepal in November 2024!

Ama Dablam is one of the most spectacular mountains in the world and a long term dream of mine. The expedition, with Tim Mosedale (www.timmosedale.co.uk), is 4 weeks long involving a trek to base camp, technical rock, snow and ice climbing. Above base camp we will place two to three camps along the beautiful Southwest Ridge where we will have dramatic and exposed views of the Himalayas and stunning panoramic summit views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. I am raising funds for my mountain rescue team. The Lomond Mountain Rescue Team provides vital assistance to those who find themselves in difficulty while exploring Scotland's beautiful mountains. Thirty-one voluntary full team members are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

I am asking for your support in this endeavour. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in the lives of those who rely on the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team. Your contribution will help provide essential equipment and training for the volunteers, allowing us to continue our vital work.

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting this incredible cause and making a difference in our community.
