Story
Action for BPAN is the first UK charity dedicated to BPAN, a rare and devastating condition that causes seizures, childhood dementia, Parkinson’s, and a progressive loss of movement, slowly stealing affected children’s hard won skills, independence, and precious memories. Founded by two mothers whose daughters live with BPAN, the charity is dedicated to accelerating groundbreaking research, including pioneering gene therapy in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College London, while providing support to families across the UK and internationally. Through their work, Action for BPAN is helping transform understanding, care, and the future for children living with this rare disorder.
