Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Hello to all our friends and family. On the 26th April 2026 we will be running the London Marathon to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s UK.

Our amazing Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2023.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s, it’s a degenerative condition that affects movement and causes symptoms like tremors and stiffness. There’s currently no cure, and treatments vary in success. Medication helps manage symptoms, but its effectiveness can decline over time. Therapies such as physiotherapy and speech therapy are vital, and advanced options like deep brain stimulation exist, but they’re not suitable for everyone.

Parkinson’s UK is doing incredible work - funding research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. They also provide essential services like therapy programmes and support groups - some of which Dad has already benefited from. These resources make a huge difference to families affected by Parkinson’s.

If you’d like to cheer us on, helping Dad and thousands of others, please donate and share our page. Your support will fund research and therapies that can really make a difference.

Thank you, from Charlotte and Rosie
