Story
This June Alan, Mark, Alex, Kevin and Tom are taking on a huge cycling challenge — riding from London to Land’s End over 5 days (11th–15th June), to raise money for Yorda Adventures.
Yorda Adventures is a charity based in Chessington, Surrey that provides specialist play, care, and short-break projects for children and young people with significant learning or complex disabilities and their families. They run an accessible Playhouse and Forest space where children can play, explore and enjoy tailored activities, while offering families valuable respite and support.
Over the course of the ride we’ll cover around 350–360 miles, travelling through Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, tackling long days in the saddle and some of the toughest hills in the country — especially in Devon and Cornwall.
Our planned route:
Day 1 (11th June): London → Marlborourgh (~80 miles)
Day 2 (12th June): Marlborough → Taunton (~90 miles)
Day 3 (13th June): Taunton → Launceston (~75 miles)
Day 4 (14th June): Launceston → Hayle (~75 miles)
Day 5 (15th June): Hayle → Land’s End → Penzance (~50 miles)
We’d be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship, big or small, to help us reach it.
Thank you so much for supporting us and cheering us on!
Alan, Mark, Alex, Tom and Kevin
