Casey's fundraiser for Battersea Dogs Home

Casey Joyce is raising money for Battersea

London Marathon 2026 · 30 May 2025 to 26 April 2026 ·

We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society.

Story

I AM RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON! Battersea is a very special charity to me. From working there for 6 years I have witnessed the relentless hard work and dedication the staff give to the dogs and cats.

Working in rescue can be extremely rewarding but also emotionally challenging.

Funding for Battersea is vital to give the dogs and cats the best possible care and to be able to find them the best forever homes. There are a lot that of departments behind the scenes, from the veterinary clinic, hydrotherapy centre, kennels, training and rehoming teams, education, fundraising and fostering teams. It costs over £30,000 a day to run Battersea’s London site alone. Every donation is extremely important for this non-profit organisation.

I will be forever grateful for any donation you can make. Thank you for supporting me on this journey.

I will also be organising different fundraising events such as a dog show, quiz night and 5k group run. If you are interested to join, please contact me.

Marathon 2.0, LETS SMASH IT!

In loving memory of my Battersea rescue dog Alfie xxx
