Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

In February 2023 my wonderful sister in law, Marie, passed away after a short battle with cancer. During her illness, Marie was cared for by the amazing staff at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice. This care was provided both at home and in Wheatfields Hospice, and was delivered with compassion and kindness. Wheatfields has continued to support Marie's family, and in particular her husband and two young children.

Marie was kind and giving, and raised funds for many charities close to her heart. She was also adventurous and never shy of a challenge. It's been 5 years (and 2 children!) since I last ran a marathon, but in Marie's memory I am taking on a challenge of my own this April and running the London Marathon to raise much-needed funds for Wheatfields Hospice.

Any donations, big or small, will help Wheatfields Hospice continue to support people like Marie and her family.

Thank you!
