Amnesty International is a well-respected organization of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and justice. When injustice happens to one person, it happens to us all.

Amnesty's biggest achievements include outlawing torture, holding war criminals to account and controlling the arms trade. Many Christians have Amnesty to thank for taking up their personal causes as conscientious objectors to military service in repressive regimes, where lengthy prison terms are common for such people.
