Story
In response to the devastating wildfire that swept through areas of the Cairngorms National Park last month, the Cairngorms Trust has set up a wildfire response and recovery fund. The fire started on the 15th of July and although it is now under more control, the peat underground is still burning.
The Cairngorms National Park has been such an important area to me ever since I moved to Scotland. I can't count how many holidays, daytrips and hikes I have done here and how this area has helped me in developing my wildlife identification skills.
I was looking for motivation to do a long walk this summer and this is it. It would be amazing if I could raise some money to support communities affected by the wildfire, every pound truly helps!
