Loren Dyga is raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Society

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

In 2007, in my final year of High School, our lives changed forever. My Dad, at 48 years old was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

MS affects every aspect of your life, with everyday tasks becoming increasingly more difficult as the disease progresses. Watching your parent slowly lose the mobility he once had is not something I wish upon anyone.

Over the 19 years since his diagnosis, he has been on multiple trial medications in an attempt to slow the progression of the disease, some more successful than others. Research into a cure and trials of new treatments are made possible by fundraising efforts such as these which is why I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon- to raise money to continue research into treatments and eventually a cure for this awful disease.
