Strictly Out of My Comfort Zone
I turned 40 this year and haven’t danced without a wine in hand for 25 years, so while this might seem like a small challenge to some, for me it’s absolutely petrifying!
The show dance is the group number within Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity’s flagship event of the year. And in a trade-off with our creative director, I somehow ended up agreeing to take part (in exchange for him doing a skydive!). So here we are…
The cause is very real. I’ve spent the last 14 years fundraising for hospitals across our city, our charity proudly funds vital equipment, new spaces, and services beyond the NHS standard of care but the pressure on these services is growing every year.
I want nothing but the very best care for every family who walks through our doors at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. We all know what it feels like sitting in a waiting room, by a bedside, or in one of those ‘bad news’ rooms. While we can’t take the pain away, we can make a tough time in hospital just that little bit better.
So please, sponsor me if you can, whether you’re cheering me on or placing bets on how many steps I’ll get wrong I appreciate the support!
Wish me luck x
