Hi! My name is Loreto and I'm a student at the University of Brighton. I am taking a module this year called Community Project where we are working with Community Media 4 Kenya aiming to raise funds to build a community radio station in Cham gi Wadu, a marginalised rural community in the Nyanza region of Kenya.

With the money raised we will buy a range of media equipment which we will take with us to Kenya in January to build the station.

In this project we aim to train local people to operate the radio station as a community resource to illustrate how community media can be appropriated to advocate and campaign for meaningful social change.
