Running for a good cause
I am taking part in The 2026 Robin Hood Half Marathon on behalf of The John van Geest Cancer Research Centre.
Based at Nottingham Trent University, the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre specialises in research into blood cancers as well as colorectal, pancreatic and brain tumours.
Your kind donations help to find ways to:
- Diagnose cancer better
- Predict how it will respond to treatment
- Develop ways of boosting the immune system to fight it
About me:
I am starting from (physical) scratch and will be training to run the marathon without dying (simple goals). I can't actually remember the last time I ran or jogged. But... ya gotta start somewhere. It is a worthy cause, after all.
